“Christmas on the Row” is the title of a new song from T Bear, otherwise known as singer/songwriter/actor Richard T. Bear.
The composition, a bluesy and heartfelt piano-driven number co-written by Eva-Marie Fredric and recorded together with guitarist/co-producer Laurence Juber and bassist Domenic Genova, was produced by Tony Braunagel (who also played drums on the track) and engineered by Mikal Blue (Revolver Studios), and is an urgent call for all of us to take action on behalf of those experiencing the hardship of homelessness this holiday season and beyond.
In collaboration with the Get Together Foundation (an action-based non-profit organization dedicated to helping children and families in need), T Bear was motivated to write this song in hopes of inspiring his listeners to take action and join him in making a difference. T Bear was recommended to the Get Together Foundation by some of his colleagues and band members, who have participated in some of GTF’s benefit concert events over the years. Knowing the Foundation’s commitment to what it does and its deep connections to the music world, a collaboration of this nature seemed a perfect fit.
Donations of any amount, big or small, will help bring some holiday cheer to those who need it most.

“CHRISTMAS ON THE ROW” was written and performed by Richard “T Bear” Gerstein and dedicated to the many who cannot and will not be able to celebrate the holidays at home or with family and friends. These are the individuals who experience homelessness every day of their lives. Holiday or no holiday, they face the same challenges.
Your generous donation will help bring smiles to the faces of these homeless individuals and give them warm, delicious meals, shelter, and a moment of happiness. What better time than during the Christmas holiday season to “Look them in the eye, and give… give a damn, that is.”
Here’s the video:
“The Get Together Foundation takes action, and I fully support their efforts to help those less fortunate than ourselves. This holiday we sing and tell a familiar story, a little bit differently. So let’s look them in the eye with sincerity, warmth, and generosity. Give what you can. It will go a long way…” — T Bear
T Bear’s ongoing The Bear Facts video series featured the Get Together Foundation’s co-founder and Rock Cellar owner/publisher Kevin Wachs on the Nov. 24 episode. Here’s their far-ranging interview, which covers a number of topics — among them the efforts of the Foundation, Rock Cellar’s involvement, upcoming events for 2022 and more:
