T Bear talks about the song - “The River of Resurrection is a place we all go to at some time in our lives when we need a second chance at love, life and happiness. It exists in our spiritual minds and hearts. It’s what's needed now for our country and the world in crisis. All our best thinking has put us down on our knees.” Watch the video HERE.

“River of Resurrection” is available on Friday, October 30th.

“River of Resurrection” is one of 12 songs that comprise the upcoming album Fresh Bear Tracks. The collection of songs tells tales of heartbreak, lost love, friendships dashed on the rocks of life, and adventures on the journey to adulthood all fused in a blend of rock, pop, Americana and plain funky blues. The all-star recording contains a who's who cast including Stephen Stills, Robby Krieger, Edgar Winter, Benmont Tench, Walter Trout, Mike Finnigan, Dean Parks, Tom Scott plus Laurence Juber, Josh Sklair and a host of others. Fresh Bear Tracks was recorded at Robby Krieger's Horse Latitudes Studio in Los Angeles with Grammy winning producer Tony Braunagel at the helm.

Fresh Bear Tracks is dedicated to T Bear’s late wife Nina, who he credits with inspiring his return to recording. As he states in the album liner notes “I made this album at the urging of one person, Nina my wife. She said to me ‘it’s time for you to put a band together, play gigs, write songs, sing and play music from your soul’. That’s where the journey begins.”

About T Bear / Richard T. Bear

Born in New York City and raised in Yonkers, NY, Richard T. Bear boasts a career that spans more than 40 years, one that led to a string of acclaimed solo albums (in Europe & U.S.) and collaborations with a number of influential icons, including Al Kooper, Stephen Stills, former Rascals Gene Cornish and Dino Danelli, Kiss, Pat Benatar and many more. He has shared stages with artists such as Dave Mason, Mick Fleetwood, the Doobie Brothers, Richie Havens and Odetta. T Bear penned “Love and Pain,” a track found on Take Me Home, one of Cher's most successful albums and also tallied several hits on his own, including the single “Sunshine Hotel" from his debut album Red, Hot and Blue. He has appeared on a number of recordings including Crosby Stills & Nash’s "Southern Cross," Billy Squier’s Tale of the Tape and The Blues Brothers Soundtrack album.

In the mid ‘80s, T Bear gained his sobriety and opted to take an extended hiatus from further recording. He turned his attention to both helping other musicians in recovery, as well as raising a family. T Bear became instrumental in the development of the Musicians Picnic, serving on its board of directors. The annual event led to the creation of the Musicians Assistance Program (MAP), a non-profit organization which is now part of the Recording Academy’s MusiCares Foundation.
